As Bannisters' ongoing events partner, Eleven Events conceptualised, designed and produced the inaugural Rick Stein Annual Dinner at Bannisters by the Sea, the flagship of Rick Stein's Australian portfolio.
Intimate yet deeply opulent. The weekend was conceived as a series of quiet wow moments, each one speaking softly of the sea.
The evening opened by the water. Guests were handed a glass of champagne and left to let the vista take over, as glowing spheres drifted across the surface of the pool and the light over Mollymook slowly turned.
Inside, the dining room was lit by candlelight alone. Candles rose at varying heights along the full length of the long tables, casting a warm, flickering amber that moved with the conversation. Long folds of fabric traced the wave-like curve of the ceiling, as though the room itself had been dressed, and in each archway a single musician played, framed by their own draped alcove. Music that lived in the room rather than performing in it. At every place setting, names were written on tented cards sealed with shell wax, and silver fish napkin rings caught the candlelight.
