Inspired by the elegance of a luxury vessel, Eleven transformed Bannisters Port Stephens into a refined nautical odyssey, where maritime motifs, sculptural tablescapes, and delectable seafood converged in a celebration of the ocean.
Guests arrived to a vibrant cocktail soirée centred around a 360° food station, where oysters, scallops and uni were served on silver platters, and champagne and cocktails flowed. Dinner unfolded in Rick Stein’s, reimagined with crisp white linens, brass accents, and florals and candles styled to echo coral forms and the botanicals of Bannister Gin. Eleven handcrafted candleholders from seashells, with place settings created from origami boats.
After dinner, guests were guided back into the foyer where dramatic drapes parted to reveal a afterparty at the ‘Purple Tiger’, transformed by shimmering disco balls, hazy smoke and radiant lights. In a surprise twist, Rick Stein delivered a nostalgic DJ set that brought energy and charm to the dance floor - a very memorable close to the evening!
The next day, the restaurant shifted gears for a live cooking demonstration, made to feel just Rick’s home kitchen, with baskets of produce, hanging utensils, and fresh herbs snipped straight into the pan. Guests left with recipe cards in hand and inspiration in tow.
