Skincare as ritual. SHA hosted an intimate evening at Ursula’s Paddington to celebrate the official launch of Youth Lab Direct, the new beauty platform founded by leading cosmetic physician Dr Kate Jameson.
We built the setting around the idea of science meeting softness: an abundance of candlelight running down the centre, pools of warm light catching on glassware and silver details. Sculptural calla stems curved along the length of the table, echoing the brand’s sleek lines and giving the space a quiet elegance.
Every place setting was considered. Hand-calligraphed metallic silver place cards, stamped with the client logo, sat alongside individual calla stems laid at each guest’s plate. Custom-branded napkins brought the Youth Lab Direct identity onto the table itself, tying the menu, florals and product story into a single, cohesive scene.
Across a curated three-course menu, Zara Wong led Dr Kate in an intimate Q&A about the brand’s vision: to make premium, science-led skincare more accessible through Australia’s first membership-based beauty marketplace. Guests left with full hearts, full plates and a refreshed perspective, proof that a launch rooted in science can still feel warm, sensory and deeply human.
